Ryan Blitstein, Journalist
Ryan Blitstein is a journalist based in Chicago. He is a contributing editor at the public policy magazine Miller-McCune and a former staff reporter at the San Jose Mercury News. His writing has appeared in BusinessWeek Chicago, New York Daily News, New York Observer, Red Herring, and The Seattle Times, among others.
Ryan’s reporting has taken him from San Francisco to Tel Aviv, the South Bronx to Galesburg, Ill. -- wherever he can find fascinating characters, compelling narrative, complex topics, or scandals worthy of investigation. He holds degrees from Stanford University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and has lectured at Stanford and San Jose State University.
